The job involves:

  • Responsible for constructing, assembling, installing, connecting, repairing, renovating, and maintaining fixtures involving carpentry
  • Inspecting and certifying work to ensure compliance with project specifications for final layout and installation
  • Using a variety of machine and hand tools
  • Meeting project deadlines, following documented plans and project specifications for final layout and installation, inspecting and certifying work ensuring compliance with project specifications and municipal building codes
  • Completing demand and preventative maintenance Carpentry or General Maintenance related work orders
  • Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
  • Ensuring adequate supply of all working materials
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
  • Working closely with in house trades to meet the team’s goal and deadlines
  • Completing any other tasks assigned by your supervisor


The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience and General Carpenter (403A) certificate in good standing
  • Experience with steel stud framing, millwork installation and plastic laminates
  • The ability to work safe by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as well as recognizing and correcting unsafe situations or hazards
  • Ability to read blueprints and basic computer skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Valid  Class G Driver’s License
