This role will require supervision and support of all Corporate Accountants and Specialists while overseeing the overall management of Corporate Accounting area.  If you would like to be on a team of Great People delivering great service, we may have just the opportunity for you!

 

The job involves:

  • Acting as a liaison between senior leadership and Casino personnel
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly related financial reporting, analyzing and reviewing for numerous financial entities, reviewing monthly internal report packages
  • Monitoring capital vs operational spending
  • Consistently maintaining standards in relationship to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAAP)
  • Supporting staff in regard to training, coaching, and providing performance feedback, delivering pertinent operational communications and announcements
  • Accounting for HST and income taxes
  • Assisting in treasury functions such as foreign currency strategy and cash flow management
  • Developing and monitoring control activities to exceed the AGCO standards and requirements
  • Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
  • Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation

 

The ideal candidate has:

  • University Degree/College Diploma with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
  • Minimum 5 years progressive management experience
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, resource and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated leadership, management and team building skills
  • Attention to detail with ability to produce accurate work
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, AS400, Infinium, Stratten Warren, Cognos BI)
